Original Artwork & Design

Fresh design, straight from our sketchbooks — every character is drawn by hand and printed to keep.

The Marrowbank way

Drawn first, printed second

Each piece begins as pencil thumbnails pinned to the studio wall. We argue about eyebrows, redraw the left ear seventeen times, ink the winner, then build colour layer by layer until the character feels alive. Only then does anything get printed.

Because the art is ours from the first line, your print will never appear on a phone case, a stock site or anyone else's wall collection. When a design retires, its files are archived — scarcity you can hang.

Questions, answered

Yes. Pencil, ink and digital colour, all in our studio. We keep process sketches for every piece and often share them on the blog.
Our pigment inks are rated to a century indoors. Avoid direct midday sun and your print will outlive the sofa beneath it.
Open editions are signed in pencil. Limited runs carry an edition number (e.g. 14/100) and retire permanently once sold out.
